SharkCore™ EUS Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) System

Product Description

SharkCore™ EUS Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) System

The SharkCore™ EUS Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) System design allows for consistent, predictable tissue acquisition with intact cellular architecture.

It streamlines procedures with interchangeable needles whilst maintaining the position of the sheath in the endoscope.

Confidence in Your Diagnosis

The six distal cutting edges of the SharkCore™ EUS Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) System needle are specifically designed to obtain cohesive units of tissue with intact cell architecture. By minimizing tissue stacking and fracturing, the needle can potentially provide better core samples and help gastroenterologists and pathologists make more consistent and definitive diagnoses.

Engineered to Do More

  • Obtains high-quality and high-quantity tissue samples for accurate diagnosis
  • Achieve precision with needles built to target lesions in and near the GI tract
  • Streamlines procedures with interchangeable needles whilst maintaining the position of the sheath in the endoscope
  • Automatic built-in safety system to reduce the risk of needle stick injury

Making Diagnosis Easier

The SharkCore™ EUS Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) System allows for consistent, predictable tissue acquisition with intact cellular architecture1-5 at the same time, it requires a significantly lower number of passes to achieve an adequate specimen, compared to the standard FNA needle (p value < 0.001).

Clinical evidence suggests that FNB needles could have an important role in the natural evolution of EUS-guided tissue acquisition as a tool for molecular diagnostics on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples for personalized treatments.

SharkCore™ EUS Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) System components

SharkCore™ FNB Needle

The SharkCore™ fine needle biopsy (FNB) needle is used with an ultrasound endoscope for needle biopsy of submucosal lesions, mediastinal masses, and more.

Description

Gain confidence in your diagnosis of GI diseases

We understand the importance of adequate tissue samples in the early detection and diagnosis of GI diseases. That’s why we’ve developed an innovative FNB needle that works with the Beacon™ endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) delivery system.

The SharkCore™ fine needle biopsy (FNB) system is designed with a passive (i.e., automatic) safety shielding feature to aid in the prevention of needle stick injury.

The SharkCore™ fine needle biopsy (FNB) system is compatible with the Beacon™ endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) delivery system. Discover the Beacon™ endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) delivery system.

  • Streamline procedures with pre-loaded, interchangeable needles
  • Target lesions in and near the GI tract
  • High-quality tissue samples obtained for achieving diagnosis

Features

The SharkCore™ FNB Needle is designed with unique needle-tip geometry

  • Collect cohesive units of tissue with intact cellular architecture.1
  • Maximize sample acquisition with six cutting-edge surfaces.1
  • Minimize damage to tissue as it is collected, enhancing tissue acquisition and diagnostic yield.1
  • Support flexibility with 19-, 22-, and 25-gauge needles.

Beacon™ FNA Needle

The Beacon™ fine needle aspiration (FNA) system is used to sample targeted submucosal and extramural gastrointestinal lesions through an ultrasound endoscope.

Description

The Beacon™ fine needle aspiration (FNA) system is compatible with the Beacon™ endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) delivery system.

The Beacon™ fine needle aspiration (FNA) system needle is designed with a passive (i.e., automatic) safety shielding feature to aid in the prevention of needle stick injury.

The Beacon™ FNA system needle can help:

  • Streamline procedures with pre-loaded, interchangeable needles
  • Target lesions in the GI tract
  • Sample submucosal and extramural gastrointestinal lesions
